Hi guys, a quick one on how to use this forum to find other peoples' post and make your own!
Whenever you post about a social issue, a couple of things: 1) Please make the title specific, so people who see your post know whether it's a question, suggestion, and what you're posting about. For example "Food waste: my top tips to use up scraps"
2) Add hashtags at the end of your post- make these more broad, about the general issue. For the above example, I might add hashtags for #environmental, #sustainability, #eco, #foodwaste. This will ensure people are able to find your post when searching for a particular issue (see below!) It won't be missed, beacuse of the hashtags, and they can use the title to narrow down exactly what they're looking for.
There are 3 easy ways to find issues you're looking for
1 and 2) The search bar: Use this to search for key words, or enter a hashtag to find any post that has been included in that hashtag
3) See the blue hashtags beneath posts? Click on them, it will bring up any post with that hashtag added
Lastly, standard rules- no abusive/offensive content please, you'll be blocked and your posts deleted. Admins will keep a close eye on this page for anything offensive, but please message us if we miss anything you're unhappy about.
Happy sharing! PS: In case you were wondering "why do I need to log in to post?" Purely so we can moderate the content of this page- if anyone could comment without logging in, we'd have no way to block users who had posted offensive content. By having "an account" people post from, if there's any offensive or abusive posters we can delete their accounts and stop them posting. The page will be moderated for offensive and abusive content by admins, but if anything is missed that you are unhappy about, please simply message us to let us know (or you can hashtag it as offensive). #Forum
